Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Northbrook, IL, is seeking team members to support Prepared Foods production and customer service. You will label, date, rotate, and stock products, while upholding health and safety regulations and WFM standards.

You’ll help customers, maintain clean areas, and assist with on-floor duties, including opening/closing tasks and proper merchandising. This role requires flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
• Requires bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to temperatures: freezing to hot.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Use of ladders may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensure proper labeling, dating, covering, and rotation of products.
• Ensure product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Follow recipes and use correct measuring devices.
• Assist customers in understanding differences between WFM and conventional store products.
• Keep walk-ins and freezers clean and well-organized.
• Provide excellent customer service and practice suggestive selling.
• Ensure signs and pricing are accurate, and report safety hazards.
