Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead one of the store's busiest teams in Murfreesboro, TN. You will support the Deli Manager with hiring, training, scheduling, inventory, and product quality while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires 18+ with 2 years supervisory deli/food service experience, strong communication, flexibility, and a Food Safety certification.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older with supervisory experience in deli or food service.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.
Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customer interaction skills.
Proven leadership to motivate and manage staff; understand reports and goals.
Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
Food Safety certification; compliant with safety and sanitation guidelines.
Strong organization and planning; multitasking ability.
Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand long hours as required.

Responsibilities

Assist the Deli Manager in supervising the department for productivity and profit.
Manage ordering, inventory controls, product quality and staff supervision.
Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning and teamwork.
Support in hiring, training, and development of the Deli team.
Unloading deliveries, operating deli equipment, and maintaining sanitation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines across the team.
