Sprouts Farmers Market in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead one of the store’s busiest teams and help customers make healthy choices.

You will assist in managing the deli, oversee inventory and scheduling, and foster a safe, friendly environment while driving quality and service to the highest standards. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy developing people, this role offers growth and a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with at least 2 years supervisory experience in deli or related food service.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers and handle special orders.
• Proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff while understanding reports and sales goals.
• Food Safety certification and adherence to federal, state and company food safety/sanitation standards.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for long shifts.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead a team that delivers high quality products and exceptional customer service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli staff.
• Unload deliveries and operate deli equipment while maintaining safety.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and company procedures.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team success.
