Job summary
Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to work closely with the Deli Manager to ensure product freshness, proper inventory levels, and strong customer service. The role emphasizes HACCP compliance, effective staff supervision, and achievement of sales goals within a fast-paced deli environment.
The ideal candidate will lead a team, train staff, manage daily operations, and uphold safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to train and develop team members
- Strong customer service skills and problem-solving
- Proven ability to manage warehouse operations effectively
- Clear, concise communication and instruction to team
- Experience operating warehouse equipment and safety procedures
- Experience in fast-paced retail/warehouse environments
- Experience with scanners and basic computing tools
Responsibilities
- Ensure deli products are displayed and fresh per HACCP and company policy
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service at all times
- Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries promptly
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment following safety guidelines
- Assist with inventory, rotation, labeling, and replenishment
- Support scheduling, interviewing, and training of staff as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards across the deli area
