Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking a Deli Manager to oversee all deli department operations, including food safety, inventory management, merchandising, and team performance. This role ensures compliance with company standards, maintains quality and freshness, and supports sales and customer satisfaction.

The Deli Manager will oversee daily deli operations, manage inventory and staff, coordinate product displays, and uphold sanitation standards in a fast-paced retail/warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in deli, food service, retail, or warehouse operations.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and product handling.
• Experience leading or managing a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily deli operations to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory through stock rotation, replenishment, and monitoring of product levels.
• Ensure all deli products are handled, prepared, and stored in accordance with company and food safety standards.
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items.
• Supervise and manage department staff to ensure adherence to procedures and performance expectations.
• Coordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagement.
• Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address concerns.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal audit standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the deli department.
