Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot is hiring an Assistant Deli Manager in New Jersey. The role reports to the Deli Manager and focuses on ensuring product freshness, strong customer service, and accurate inventory management in a fast-paced wholesale deli environment.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining safety and food-handling standards, assisting with product presentation and rotation, and supporting the Deli Manager with scheduling and hiring needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop and train team members, build relationships and utilize skills of team members.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to manage warehouse operations effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively to others.
• Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a safe working environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service with sincerity and respect in all interactions.
• Communicate with customers and respond to questions promptly.
• Operate equipment per company and OSHA guidelines.
• Follow HACCP policies and Always Fresh procedures for product handling.
• Assist with product presentation, rotation, labeling and replenishment.
• Maintain inventory levels through cycle counts and ensure in-stock products.
