Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking a Deli Manager to oversee all deli department operations in a fast-paced retail/warehouse setting in Connecticut. You will ensure food safety, maintain quality, manage inventory, and drive sales while leading a small team.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training staff, maintaining sanitation standards, coordinating merchandising, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role requires strong organizational skills and a focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in deli, food service, retail, or warehouse operations.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and product handling.
• Experience leading or managing a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily deli operations to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
• Maintain accurate inventory through proper stock rotation, replenishment, and monitoring of product levels
• Ensure all deli products are handled, prepared, and stored in accordance with company and food safety standards
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
• Supervise and manage department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and performance expectations
• Coordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagement
• Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address concerns
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal audit standards
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the deli department
