The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Manager in Maryland to lead a talented team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee food production, scheduling, inventory, and training, ensuring safety and quality across all deli operations.

Responsibilities include team development, ordering, and profitability management. A strong emphasis on food safety, customer service, and compliance with health regulations is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in restaurant management within retail, restaurant, or hospitality
• Strong oral and written communication with team, management, and guests
• High school diploma required; 18+ years age
• Desire to cook delicious, healthy, safe food with high quality standards
• Knowledge of local, state and federal food/health requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the deli team to deliver a world-class guest experience
• Forecast, hire, train, and schedule team members using The Fresh Market systems
• Create and manage weekly schedules to ensure staffing and guest satisfaction
• Order ingredients, supplies, and alcohol; manage inventory and shrink
• Drive sales and profitability while maintaining food safety and quality standards
• Maintain cleaning and equipment maintenance schedules; ensure timely repairs
• Provide onboarding and training through The Fresh Market Academy
• Coach staff to optimize operations and retention; enforce policies and safety rules
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
