Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deli Department Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Deli departments at our Centereachlocation. The ideal candidate will be overseeing the day-to-day activities, ensuring high-quality customer service, and developing a profitable prepared food and catering program. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high food quality standards, and developing a successful prepared food and catering program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deli or food service management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Deli department at our Centereach location.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and customer service.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure adequate stock levels and cost control.
• Recruit, train, and develop Deli department staff.
• Schedule and coordinate staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
• Address personnel issues and resolve conflicts promptly and effectively.

Program Development:

• Develop and implement a successful prepared food and catering program.
• Create and test new menu items, considering customer preferences and seasonal trends.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote the prepared food and catering program.

Customer Service:

• Ensure exceptional customer service is always provided.
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Foster a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in deli or food service industry
