Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Supervisor / Deli Lead to direct and supervise all activities in the deli and food service department, guiding staff to achieve merchandising, sales, and guest service goals.

With 90+ years of experience, Global Partners emphasizes serving customers and communities while maintaining high standards in food safety and operations. The role includes shift scheduling, coaching, and maintaining stock and quality across all deli offerings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2+ years of experience in a fresh food environment, preferably in a managerial role.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings as needed.
• Reliable transportation and an active driver's license.
• Serv‑Safe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct department personnel, meeting goals and coordinating with store management.
• Onboard, coach, and supervise new team members.
• Schedule all team members for shifts.
• Provide product information, selling suggestions and sampling while thanking guests.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely, satisfactory completion.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation guidelines and policies.
• Order products and supplies to maintain stock and merchandising standards.
• Oversee deli/food service prep, display and merchandising according to guidelines.
• Rotate items for quality and shrink control.
• Manage receiving, invoicing, and stock positioning in storage or walk-ins.
• Count inventory periodically and complete paperwork accurately.
• Process cash transactions and handle refunds and pricing checks.
• Maintain accurate weights and pricing with scales.
