Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is hiring a Deli Clerk in California to join our fast-growing team. You will assist customers, prepare fresh meals, and ensure the deli area is clean, well-stocked, and properly displayed.

The role requires reliable, friendly individuals who can handle flexible hours including nights and weekends, and who can safely lift up to 70 lbs and operate deli equipment. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities as part of a rewarding grocery environment

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and customer interaction ability.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and operate deli equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented; maintain cleanliness of deli area.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain product displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales following standards.
• Maintain clean, safe deli area and equipment, clean shelves and floors, remove spills.
• Receive and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
