Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage daily deli and food service operations, ensuring sanitation, store appearance and guest service.

The role involves cash handling, learning registers, scales, scanners, and UPC codes, plus preparing deli items and maintaining pricing and stock. Flexibility for weekends/evenings and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds are required; ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 16 years or older.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• 2 years foodservice or retail management experience.
• Must have reliable transportation and active driver’s license.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Dexterity to use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions, provide correct change and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and terminals.
• Read UPCs, product labels, signage and company procedures.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service products.
• Cook deli items and prepared foods on site.
• Display products per department guidelines.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely completion.
