You will monitor department duties, achieve sales and profit goals, and uphold quality standards while aligning with Kroger’s values of respect, honesty, integrity and safety.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, promotions, inventory and budget considerations, with daily focus on customer service and product quality in a fast-paced store setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, additions, subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Current food handlers permit required once employed.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department and store information to associates.
• Establish department goals and empower the team to meet targets.
• Schedule staffing to manage customer volume and service levels.
• Train associates and participate in performance appraisals.
• Assist customers and educate on products, promotions and store offerings.
• Ensure quality, freshness and proper temperatures of products.
• Develop and execute department business plans and promotions.
• Monitor budgets, expenses and financial reports with management.
