Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department and job information to associates.
• Establish department goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates and participate in performance reviews.
• Create an inviting environment and assist customers with product questions and recommendations.
• Inform customers of specials and offer samples to showcase items.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Educate associates about in-store promotions affecting the department.
• Assist with seasonal critiques for the sales/merchandising supervisor.
• Support budgeting, expense control, and profit/loss reviews of the department.
• Plan inventory and ensure proper temperatures and safety procedures.
