Job summary

Raymer Oil in Mocksville, NC is hiring a friendly customer-service oriented team member for front-line duties in our grocery and convenience store. You will greet customers, assist with product selection, process transactions, and help maintain freshness and cleanliness across the sales floor and cold storage.

The ideal candidate can lift up to 25 lb, stand for long periods, communicate clearly, and work well with others to deliver quick, courteous service and keep the store running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Keep supplies neat and tidy.
• Front-end duties to maintain no-wait service.

• Assist in receiving and storage of products.

Primary Purpose and Mission Statement: Raymer Oil and its employees pledge to put customers first by:

Essential Duties:

• Prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, and pricing and serving).
• Maintain product level, quality, and freshness
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
• Communicate customer requests to management
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor and complete temperature chart.
• Keeps supplies neat, clean, and tidy at all times.

Other Duties:

• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs front end duties to insure “no noticeable wait” standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info to the customer when serving.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to push/pull a loaded Grocery cart throughout any assigned shift unassisted.
• Ability to climb and balance on a step stool/ladder.
• Ability to sustain repetitive arm and hand motion.
• Ability to reach above shoulders and horizontally to stock and retrieve inventory.

Work Environment:

• Ability to work under a variety of conditions and temperatures, wet and dry, for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work safely with box cutters and grocery equipment.
