Hannaford Supermarkets in Rockland, ME, seeks a Department Manager to lead a store department, ensuring quality merchandise, presentation and service for customers.

You will hire, train and develop associates, meet financial objectives, maintain safety standards and use store tools to drive performance and accuracy in records and inventory. This role requires strong leadership and a commitment to excellent customer service.

• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Demonstrated good judgement solving problems, making decisions, handling complaints and resolving grievances.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates across multiple departments.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Accreditation as a Certified Food Safety Manager or ability to obtain within 90 days.
