Weis Markets in Edgewater, NJ is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to oversee daily deli operations, enhance customer service, and support the Deli Manager.

You will lead associates, manage scheduling, monitor inventory, ensure sanitation and compliance with health regulations, and help drive sales through merchandising and timely product availability.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of management experience in retail or a supermarket setting.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.

Responsabilités

• Greet customers and provide quality service per guidelines.
• Assist with merchandising, scheduling, and inventory.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and safety compliance.
• Train and develop associates; supervise staff in manager's absence.
• Control labor costs and review weekly work assignments.
• Ensure proper record keeping and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate department plans to maintain stock levels and freshness.
• Respond to customer questions and resolve issues.
