La Montañita Co-op is seeking a Deli Assistant Department Team Leader (ADTL) to supervise daily deli operations, ensuring top-notch customer service and product quality. You will collaborate with the Deli DTL to establish operating standards, train staff, and manage inventory, pricing, and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and adherence to food safety guidelines, with a focus on motivating the team to meet performance targets and deliver an exceptional customer

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of customer service experience.
• 2+ years in food service purchasing, preparation, or merchandising perishable products.
• Knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
• Capable of teaching others positively and constructively.
• Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
• Food safety certification. If not currently certified, will commit to completing certification within 1 month.
• Demonstrates decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
• Experience with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills and able to communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Responsabilités

• Oversee department operations under the Deli DTL.
• Ensure excellent customer experience in the Deli area.
• Develop and communicate operating standards with the Deli DTL.
• Train and mentor department team members.
• Maintain product freshness, safety, labeling, and pricing.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and ServSafe certification.
