Kroger Co. is seeking a deli department team member to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment.

You will help achieve sales and department goals by promoting promotions, managing inventory, and supporting store operations in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include training associates, processing price changes, and ensuring product quality and proper temperatures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Current food handlers permit once employed.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department information to associates and help meet targets through teamwork.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume and train associates on performance.
• Assist management with budget, price changes, inventory, and promotions within the deli department.
• Ensure accurate product quality, temperature control, and safety procedures are followed.
• Inform customers about promotions and sample products to drive sales and customer discovery.
• Plan and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Execute store promotions and educate staff on in-store promotions.
