Job summary

Broulim's in Ammon, Idaho is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to be the face of our deli counter, helping customers with product information and preparing fresh meats and cheeses.

You will slice, weigh, and package items to spec, assemble deli trays for events, maintain a clean counter, stock products, and operate slicers and scales safely, supporting a fast-paced team. This is a non‑exempt position requiring weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 16+ to operate fryers and ovens; 18+ to operate the slicer.
• Previous deli or customer service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of deli products and basic preparation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in the deli department with product information and recommendations.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
• Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders and events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli counter area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and stock deli products; rotate inventory for freshness.
• Operate deli equipment such as slicers and scales safely.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals.

Job Summary: As a Deli Clerk at Broulim’s , you'll be the face of our deli department, delivering top-notch service and providing customers with a diverse selection of high-quality deli products. From slicing meats and cheeses to creating appetizing deli trays, your role is essential in creating a positive and delicious shopping experience.

Examples of Duties:

Assist customers in the deli department , offering product information and recommendations.

Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.

Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders , events , and catering orders .

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli counter area, including regular sanitization of equipment.

Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.

Operate deli department equipment, such as slicers and scales, following safety guidelines.

Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with deli products, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.

Basic understanding of deli department equipment and tools.

Skills:
