Job summary

Broulim’s ACE Hardware in Shelley, Idaho is seeking a Deli Clerk to be the face of our deli, delivering top-notch service and a diverse selection of deli products. From slicing meats and cheeses to creating deli trays, you’ll contribute to a positive, delicious shopping experience.

The role is non-exempt and requires standing for extended periods, lifting moderate loads, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous deli or customer service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of deli products and basic food-safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in the deli department, offering product information and recommendations.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
• Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders, events, and catering orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli counter area, including regular sanitization of equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.
• Operate deli department equipment, such as slicers and scales, following safety guidelines.

Job Summary: As a Deli Clerk at Broulim’s , you'll be the face of our deli department, delivering top-notch service and providing customers with a diverse selection of high-quality deli products. From slicing meats and cheeses to creating appetizing deli trays, your role is essential in creating a positive and delicious shopping experience.

Examples of Duties:

• Assist customers in the deli department , offering product information and recommendations.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
• Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders , events , and catering orders .
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli counter area, including regular sanitization of equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.
• Operate deli department equipment, such as slicers and scales, following safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.

Knowledge:

• Familiarity with deli products, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.
