Job summary

Broulim’s ACE Hardware in Wyoming (Afton area) is seeking a Deli Assistant Manager to support the deli manager in daily operations, supervise staff, ensure freshness, and deliver excellent customer service. This role focuses on getting deli items prepared and presented to meet quality standards.

You will oversee production, maintain safety and sanitation, manage inventory, assist customers, and help drive sales in a fast-paced deli environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a deli or food service environment
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team

Responsibilities

• Assist the deli manager in supervising and training deli associates, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee the production and presentation of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and hot entrees.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes, including proper handling and storage of deli products.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels and meet customer demand.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, provide recommendations, and address any concerns or complaints.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli department, including food prep areas, display cases, and storage areas.
• Collaborate with the deli manager to develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase profitability in the deli department.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including preparing and cleaning equipment.
