Job summary

Broulim’s is seeking a Deli Clerk to be the face of the deli department, delivering friendly service and a variety of high-quality deli products.

You will slice meats and cheeses, assemble deli trays for orders and events, keep the counter clean, and rotate stock while collaborating with the team in a fast-paced store.

This non-exempt role offers opportunities to develop customer service skills and help create enjoyable shopping experiences for our customers.

Qualifications

• Previous deli or customer service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic deli products and preparation techniques.
• Ability to handle deli department equipment safely.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer-focused with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Age requirement: 16+ to operate fryers/oven, 18+ to operate slicer.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in the deli department with product information and recommendations.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
• Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders, events and catering orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli counter area and sanitize equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory for freshness.
• Operate deli department equipment such as slicers and scales following safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals.
