Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow Department of Health regulations and obtain Food Handler’s Certificate within 10 days of employment.
• Understand the importance of allergen handling and proper labeling.
• Ability to prioritize and handle several tasks at once.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a customer-service mindset.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and clear, professional interactions.
• High tolerance for stress and fast-paced environments.
• Capable of responding promptly to situations as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist customers within our Customer Service Standards.
• Work station assignments across service counter areas and shifts.
• Set up and refresh cold case by store opening and by 5:00 pm.
• Portion, present, and package merchandise per customer requests to minimize shrink and maximize sales.
• Develop product knowledge to better assist customers.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work area in compliance with Health Department regulations.
• Operate and sanitize all deli equipment safely.
• Record samples, demo products, and waste according to guidelines.
• Collaborate with Kitchen staff and counter team to meet store goals.
• Attend deli department and store meetings as scheduled.
