Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Seattle is seeking a deli/cooking team member to produce prepared foods for the deli, hot bar, soup bar, and other stations while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work in a Seattle-area PCC location, ensuring sanitation, following PCC recipes, and possibly assisting with production and recipe costing. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• 2+ years production cooking experience preferred.
• Able to work in a fast pace kitchen environment.
• Familiarity with specialty and prepared foods.
• Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, lifting 10-40lbs.
• Food Worker Card from WA State Department of Health required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent, professional customer service.
• Produces prepared foods in accordance with PCC recipes.
• Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• Follows department safe food handling procedures.
• Follows department merchandising standards and procedures.
• Performs packaging duties.
• May be in charge of production tasks.
• May oversee other kitchen staff as assigned.
• Participates in recipe development and recipe costing.
• May perform ordering responsibilities.
• Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met.
