Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage daily deli and food service operations, ensuring sanitation, appearance, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include cash handling, using registers and scales, and preparing deli items with care.

The role requires flexibility for weekends/holidays, lifting up to 25 pounds, and adherence to safety standards while delivering friendly service to customers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and/or evenings.
• 2 years foodservice or retail management.
• Reliable transportation and an active driver’s license.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods and lift/maneuver merchandise.
• Minors may ONLY use OSHA approved knives.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice and stock deli/food service products.
• Cook and prepare deli items such as fried foods, salads, sandwiches, hot/cold beverages.
• Ensure correct pricing, signage, and shelf placement.
• Maintain a clean, neat check stand and production areas.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Follow safety guidelines around knives and hot equipment.
