Job summary

Hugo's Lake of the Woods is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to deliver excellent customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli items. You will slice, weigh, package, label, and present products with care, following food safety standards.

In a fast-paced grocery environment, you will learn store procedures, operate slicers and scales safely, rotate stock, and assist customers with orders and selections. Full-time benefits include health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to learn food safety, equipment use, and store procedures.
• No prior deli or food service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve deli products to customers with quality presentation.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli items according to customer preferences.
• Assist customers with product selection and special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area per safety regulations.
• Label products clearly with pricing and identification.
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Operate deli equipment safely, including slicers and scales.
