Job summary

Global Partners LP seeks a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage the deli and food service daily operations with a focus on sanitation, guest service, and accurate pricing. You will learn to operate the register, scales, and scanners while ensuring product quality and safety.

The role involves preparing and stocking deli items, taking guest orders, and maintaining a clean work area. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds; Serv-Safe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service experience in food retail or service
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle transactions accurately
• Familiarity with deli food preparation and safety guidelines
• Serv-Safe certification preferred
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and work in coolers/freezers

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions and provide accurate change
• Learn to operate register, scales, scanners and payment terminals
• Read UPC codes and follow shelf signage and pricing
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice and stock deli/food service products
• Maintain clean, neat check stand and production areas
• Take guest orders and ensure on-time, accurate fulfillment
• Follow safety guidelines when using knives, slicers, burners, and ovens
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by Store Manager
