Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage the deli and food service daily operations, ensuring sanitation, store appearance and guest service. The role also includes handling cash and operating the register.

You will learn to use scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals, read UPC codes, and prepare deli items with safety in mind. Lifting up to 25 pounds and Serv-Safe certification are noted preferences.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or retail preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions, giving back change and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Learn to use UPC codes, store signage, and memorize register keys and codes.
• Prepare, wrap, box, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service products.
• The preparation and cooking of deli items, including fried foods, salads, sandwiches, and beverages.
• Work safely around slicers, knives, ovens, burners and fryers.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely completion to guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, neat check stand and production areas.
