Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. Your duties include arranging vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. There are ample opportunities for growth, learning about products and equipment, and becoming a customer service expert. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable, reliable, and outgoing with a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance.
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation.
• Operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in temperature-controlled environments.
• Other duties as assigned.
