Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our Deli department. Responsibilities include arranging vegetables, slicing meats, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable, reliable, and outgoing with a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Perform general housekeeping and operate equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations, and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer).
