Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing high-quality customer service in our Deli department. Responsibilities include arranging vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service skills, especially if you thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable, reliable, and friendly with a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 4 hours continuously.
• Perform general housekeeping and operate equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer).
