Overview of Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our Deli department. Your duties include arranging vegetables and sliced meats for sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Qualifications

To be a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Display outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and good interaction skills.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 4 hours, and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and operate equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in different temperature environments, such as coolers and freezers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
