Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our Deli department. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and sharing your knowledge of our meats, cheeses, and other deli items. Food safety and maintaining high standards are essential. There are ample opportunities for growth, including learning about products, equipment, and customer service excellence. Qualifications

To qualify as a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable, reliable, and friendly with a positive attitude.
• Possess good communication skills, able to take direction, and work well in a team.
• Have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs., standing for up to 4 hours continuously, and working in different temperature environments.
• Perform general housekeeping, operate slicers and cooking equipment safely, and adhere to all safety and health regulations, including obtaining a Food Handlers permit.
• Other duties as assigned.
