Job summary

The deli department is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to deliver an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. You will create a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return and manage product packaging and displays.

Responsibilities include selecting and packaging items, preparing special orders, and operating deli equipment to handle cold and hot foods; evening, weekend, and holiday availability is often required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

The primary purpose of the Deli Clerk is to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The Deli Clerk is to establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. The Deli Clerk is responsible for selecting and packaging products ordered by customers, filling and maintaining products and displays, preparing special orders and party trays and operating meat and cheese slicers, oven, fryer, grill, cutting tools, scale and other deli equipment. You will have a variety of tasks, working with both cold and hot foods.
