Job summary

ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing is seeking a Deli Clerk to provide friendly customer service while preparing and serving fresh, high-quality deli items.

You will assist with food prep, stocking, sanitation, and handling customer orders, keeping safety and cleanliness as top priorities, in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires standing for extended periods and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to maintain deli displays and timely service.

Qualifications

• Greet and assist customers promptly with deli orders, questions, and product recommendations.
• Prepare and produce quality food products that meet or exceed company and customer expectations.
• Prepare sandwiches and other made-to-order deli items.
• Assist with preparing, stocking, and maintaining the hot bar and ready-to-eat food areas.
• Slice meats and cheeses according to customer requests and company standards.
• Serve food and beverages in a safe, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Take customer telephone orders for deli items, party trays, and specialty items.
• Ensure all self-service packaged products are properly labeled, weighed, and packaged with accurate ingredient information.
• Follow all company food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with stocking, rotating, and organizing products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Keep workstations, prep areas, equipment, and surrounding areas neat and clean, including washing dishes, sweeping, and mopping.
• Maintain clean, organized, and attractive displays throughout the department.
• Work collaboratively with team members in multiple food service areas as needed.
• Food Service Associates should expect to be cross-trained in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain on feet for extended periods.
• Ability to safely handle food products, kitchen equipment, and hot surfaces as needed.
