Job summary

Deli Clerks provide excellent customer service and prepare fresh, high-quality deli items in a fast-paced environment. You will greet customers, take orders, slice meats and cheeses, and ensure accurate labeling and packaging.

You must maintain cleanliness, follow food safety standards, stock the hot bar, and work with teammates across multiple food service areas. The role requires standing for extended periods and delivering efficient service.

Deli Clerks are responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving fresh, high-quality food products in the deli department. This position assists with food preparation, stocking, sanitation, and customer orders while maintaining company food safety and cleanliness standards.

Requirements/Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages in a safe, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Take customer telephone orders for deli items, party trays, and specialty items.
• Ensure all self-service packaged products are properly labeled, weighed, and packaged with accurate ingredient information.
• Follow all company food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with stocking, rotating, and organizing products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Keep workstations, prep areas, equipment, and surrounding areas neat and clean, including washing dishes, sweeping, and mopping.
• Maintain clean, organized, and attractive displays throughout the department.
• Work collaboratively with team members in multiple food service areas as needed.
• Food Service Associates should expect to be cross-trained in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain on feet for extended periods.
• Ability to safely handle food products, kitchen equipment, and hot surfaces as needed.
