Job Description

Job Title: Deli Clerk

Responsibilities

1. Provide prompt, friendly customer service, assisting customers with their needs and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
2. Operate the deli department registers, handle payments, and ensure accuracy.
3. Prepare, replenish, and ensure the freshness of deli products.
4. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
5. Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies.
6. Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
7. Perform secondary duties such as washing dishes, delivering orders, and pricing products.
8. Adhere to personal hygiene and dress codes.
9. Report to work on time and follow scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• Less than high school diploma or equivalent; six months or less of related experience preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Physical ability to perform medium work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and perform physical activities required for the role.

Working Conditions

Exposure to dust, noise, equipment movement hazards, temperature extremes, and cleaning chemicals in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information
