Job summary

Wadsworth Buehler's Fresh Foods is seeking a Deli Cook to prepare food for our Deli, Catering and Restaurant departments. This role ensures each area has the required dishes and ingredients to serve customers daily, working closely with the manager and teammates to maintain quality and consistency.

The position emphasizes teamwork, food safety, and presentation, with a flexible schedule to meet customer demand during busy periods and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old; or 16–17 if not operating heavy equipment.
• Able to stand, reach, lift 50–80 lb.
• Able to read and follow written and oral instructions; basic math.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare the department’s needs.
• Set up, organize, and prepare food using established procedures.
• Comply with sanitation, health and hygiene standards; keep area clean.
• Observe proper food handling techniques.
• Assist Line Cooks and Deli Department as needed.
• Store food properly and date items.
