Job summary

Buehler’s Fresh Foods in Wooster, Ohio is seeking a Deli Cook to support our Deli, Restaurant and Catering departments. You will plan and prepare the department’s needs, set up and organize food production, and ensure sanitation and safety standards.

This role works closely with your manager and teammates to keep a steady supply of high-quality food for daily service and catered events. We value flexibility and teamwork and offer training for new teammates.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age (US age requirement).
• Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, and push/pull items weighing 50–80 lb.
• Follow sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and procedures.
• Work in deli/kitchen environment with equipment like oven, slicer, steamer and knives.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare the department’s needs.
• Set up, organize, and prepare food using established production procedures.
• Comply with sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards, and housekeeping to keep the work area clean.
• Observe proper food handling techniques.
• Assist Line Cooks when needed and assist Deli Department when needed.
