Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery HMS Supervisor to support store operations and help meet sales and budget goals in Chapel Hill, NC. You will lead HMS associates, manage labor, and promote a customer-first culture within a busy deli environment.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of store operations, food safety, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth and training support.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must have NRFS accreditation or be able to obtain within 90 days; maintain accreditation while employed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Deli Bakery HMS dept in the absence of the Deli Manager; supervise duties of HMS associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity.
• Provide leadership and motivation to promote a culture aligned with Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Deliver friendly, fast, and flexible customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Model outstanding service and use product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Control expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS, scheduling, and business information systems.
• Ensure department appearance, quality, variety, workplace safety and sanitation are maintained.
• Ensure HMS schedules provide extraordinary service; adjust as needed.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and display follow policies.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; comply with regulations.
• Record and report accidents per Food Lion procedures; monitor shrink.
• Maintain strict adherence to guidelines, policies and dress code.
• Meet physical requirements of the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
