Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies' King Soopers in Louisville, CO is seeking a Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) to deliver exceptional customer service, prepare items to order, stock and label department merchandise, and maintain safe, clean surroundings that encourage return visits.

You will follow food safety regulations, use bakery equipment, check temperatures, monitor dates, assist with samples, and respond to customer inquiries with product knowledge to help customers find what they need.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math.
• Ability to obtain a current food handlers permit once employed.
• Bakery or Deli experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customers get what they want.
• Use bakery equipment according to company guidelines (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens).
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Notify management of ordering/shipping discrepancies and maintain store layout knowledge.
