Military Deli & Bakery Services, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager/Shift Lead to support our Deli/Bakery operations at one of our 103 US Military Commissary locations. You will lead a small team, ensure top-tier customer service, and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

The role requires prior shift lead/management experience, ability to stand for long periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Open availability and weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience.
• Previous shift lead/management experience mandatory.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Open availability; some weekends and closing shifts required.

Aufgaben

• Assist Deli/Bakery Manager in providing leadership in the department by directing and managing 5-10 employees.
• Maintain high levels of customer service while meeting commissary requirements and maximizing profits.
• Oversee food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Help manage inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering raw materials and supplies.
• Assist in scheduling and training employees and delegating work assignments.
• Prepare and maintain inventories and records to calculate monthly profit.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment to ensure health and safety requirements are met.
• Develop professional communication with commissary management to meet financial objectives.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and assist in process improvements.
• Maintain department records and promote teamwork.
• Perform duties of staff as required in this hands-on position.
