Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets, Inc. is seeking a NOTC Clerk to deliver exceptional over-the-counter service in our Service Deli and Bakery. You will prepare and package deli/bakery items, maintain quality and safety standards, and help keep displays appealing for customers.

For graveyard shifts, duties include stocking, setting up displays for the next day, and keeping areas clean and ready for opening. You will work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment with strict sanitation requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow directions.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced deli/bakery environment.
• Attention to detail with food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer’s shopping experience (G.O.A.T).
• Handle customer concerns or complaints politely and professionally, and escalate with upper management when necessary.
• Service Deli responsibilities: greet customers, answer questions, fulfill product requests, prepare deli items, slice and label foods, stock and rotate cases, monitor expiration dates, take special orders, assist with inventory, operate deli equipment, keep area clean and sanitized.
• Bakery responsibilities: assist at the bakery counter, prepare and decorate items, ensure quality and presentation, maintain display cases, rotate stock, monitor freshness, communicate shortages to management.
• Stock crew responsibilities: unload pallets, stock shelves, rotate products, keep areas clean, prepare store for next day, report shortages or damages.
• Other responsibilities: work collaboratively with team, follow health regulations for safe food prep and temperature control, support multiple departments as needed.
