Job summary

Carlie C's IGA is seeking an Assistant Deli-Bakery Manager to oversee daily food service operations within the department and store. You will lead a team to ensure policies, safety, and sanitation standards are met while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires extensive food preparation experience, ServSafe certification, and flexible scheduling including nights and weekends. Catering experience is a plus for providing varied menu planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations including food preparation and service.
• Lead the department as a team to complete daily tasks and reinforce positive behaviors.
• Plan for and purchase food for the food service program, including ordering and merchandising.
• Ensure stored food meets nutrition standards and proper sanitation.
• Maintain records for production, inventory, shrink, and meal counts.
• Ensure sanitation procedures are followed in the department.
• Supervise food service staff including cooks and servers.
• Monitor safety standards during handling and cooking.
• Address customer preferences and complaints professionally.
• Plan and budget menus and future meals.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and self-serve bars.
