Fresh Thyme Market in Minnesota is seeking a Deli/Bakery Manager to lead all aspects of the department, including staff, sales, margins and labor. You will assist customers, maintain safety and quality, and drive department performance.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years in grocery retail, deli/bakery experience, and strong customer service and leadership skills. This full-time role offers competitive pay and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum of 4 years professional experience in grocery retail, deli/bakery preferred.
• Experience in natural foods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares weekly sales and labor projections for the Deli/Bakery Department to maximize sales and profits.
• Monitors costs and expenses, maintains inventory control, and ensures proper pricing and displays.
• Leads department staff including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching and performance reviews.
• Oversees shift operations and department work schedules.
• Ensures deli/bakery products are stocked, tagged, and accurately priced.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of deli/bakery areas and equipment.
• Assists customers with purchases, information, and product selection.
• Receives and logs shipments, inspects product quality and temperature.
• Maintains proper product rotation and reduces waste.
