Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is hiring a Deli/Bakery Clerk in Minnesota to keep food service cases stocked and clean while delivering friendly, energetic customer service. You will assist shoppers, adhere to safety guidelines, and support the deli/bakery team in daily operations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and ideally 1-2 years in grocery retail, with a preference for experience in natural foods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Food Service is preferred.
• Experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cleanliness of deli/bakery cases, storage area, and work area for safety; includes cleaning of shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills and debris.
• Stocks deli/bakery cases with presentation, facing, filling, and organization as per department schematics; ensures tag and pricing accuracy.
• Rotates deli/bakery products, discards expired items, and monitors shelf life.
• Assists customers with purchases, information and product selection; may cross-sell products.
• Receives, inspects, and logs products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Maintains knowledge of products and department signage; supports promotional materials.
