Job summary

Kj’s Market in the Carolinas is hiring a Deli/Bakery Supervisor to lead friendly staff, ensure polite guest service, and help achieve sales goals while maintaining inventory and program standards.

You will uphold sanitation and safety, train and coach employees, manage ordering, stocking, labor budgets, and communicate effectively with the Store Manager and Merchandiser. A strong team attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and ability to interact with guests.
• Ability to work well with others in a team.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Knowledge of deli operations and supervision abilities.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and handle responsibilities.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to read and understand information and directions.
• Experience with training and developing staff.
• Ability to work with store management and merchandisers.
• Comfort with using computers for scheduling and operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from deli/bakery staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain inventory and supplies at desired levels.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational programs.
• Ensure product quality meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to staff.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain department labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Conduct PA announcements when required.
