Kj’s Market in the Carolinas invites you to join our deli/bakery team. We pride ourselves on friendly, family‑owned service and a fast‑paced environment. As a deli/bakery department host, you’ll greet guests and help ensure product quality.

You’ll contribute to sales targets, manage inventories, follow merchandising programs, and supervise hosts with training. We value teamwork, reliability, and the ability to operate computers, lift items, and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of deli operations.
• Ability to supervise hosts including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication, guests service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly service at the deli/bakery hosts.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure product quality meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance and training to ensure deli/bakery hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
