Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train associates on performance and participate in evaluations.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and informed about specials.
• Prepare deli/bakery items per customer requests and slice meats/cheeses as requested.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Provide customers with the fresh products they order and proper portions.
• Inform and educate associates on promotions and seasonal ads.
• Assist in budget and expense control, and financial reporting.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags/promotional signs.
• Plan inventory processes and train staff on stock and ordering.
• Ensure proper cooking temperatures and maintain temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and report safety risks or incidents.
